Air NewZealand to Rocky

Heard yesterday that Air NewZealand has secured work for regular charters from Rockhampton to Singapore using the 777 or the 744 (dunno about the a/c for sure yet...) What about pavement strength for the 744? interesting charter work... must be high capacity transfers... Looked like the work was spread over around 8 weeks with one or two flights a week between the two places...

Sounds like it would be for the Singapore Government and there up coming war games. 747's have been there numerous times before.

Military charters for Singapore troops using Shoalwater Bay training area. Years ago, SQ paid for runway extensions etc to cater for 744 ops.
