A new gig for ozjet?
Smells like another job for ozjet to me... Seems they are not doing too badly!
Airlines of Papua New Guinea’s Managing Director, Simon Wild has confirmed Boeing 737 flight services between Brisbane, Australia and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea commencing next month.
Mr Wild said the launch of the new twice-weekly services - subject to regulatory approvals, was part of the company’s aim to grow its international operations.
“What is unique about our Brisbane services will be that the Boeing aircraft we will be using will feature an all business class seating configuration - with only 60 very roomy and comfortable seats in the cabin,” Mr Wild added.
“BUT we will be selling those seats at discounted economy class prices AND yet still providing a free meal and bar service included in the price.”
The airline’s General Manager in Papua New Guinea, John Fitzgerald said APNG’s Port-Moresby-Cairns services launched in late 2005 had successfully helped the airline to enter the Australian market.
The airline said upon receipt of regulatory approvals it would begin to publish the Brisbane services and introductory fares.

Why DRW? The Chairman of APNG has always wanted his airline to fly to Indonesia and Malaysia... perhaps via DRW for some reason?
They used to, may still do, fly to Merauke in Indonesia from Daru.

maybe, it might have something to do with the proposed gas pipeline installation between PNG and DRW .. the one that replaced the failed Conoco Phillips (?) project about 18 months ago.. it'd be a reasonable crew FIFO route ...

Just stating what's on their website. Maybe you should ring Ozjet and tell them to get with the times?
