When do we expect to see results from latest Engagement survey? If they decide to show us this time

Chucher you will never see them Why because they were far worse than Optus. Remember the front page article

I was told in a bar in Singapore, so this has to be right, by a supervisor, so it is really right, that the techcrew engagement number was 16. The overall qantass number was less than 40! Apparently very few of the senior managers were allowed to keep the results for fear they would tell the staff

and you expect to be shown?

Just looked at the Annual Report, notice it didn't affect Dick Geoffon's bonus nor those of his busom buddies, bless them

The only way to success boys and girls is for AIPA to take the lead. DEMAND THE SACKING OF THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO.

WHEN DO WE WANT IT

NOW

If we don't do this, TJF, and that ain't a rego

Angry Unfortunate Pleasure

I don`t say this lightly, but nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see this whole mess unravel during Dixon`s tenure.
The prime reason he is extending is to bathe in the reflected glory of the 2008 Olympics.
This might actually mean he gets to be accountable for this fiasco.
To the AIPA I can only offer my support by saying "stick it to the bastard"

outstanding

comments made here are spot on.
just to clarify the comments made by scott Rochford, today's SMH.
he has been given the incorrect info (wonder by whom?)
"While the Australian crews are paid slightly more to work in London, they are required to work 30 per cent more hours than Qantas long-haul crews based in Australia".
LHR based crew do NOT work 30 % more hours. they are limited by the UK Flight Duty Limitations http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP371.PDF
another big s**w up by QF when they set up the base.

someone should tell the journos where to find the details.

the 747 send to SIN for the check was supposed to be ready monday. still sitting in the hangar in SIN with 14 QF engineers trying to sort out the paperwork. imagine the few dollars the AC could have made since monday. just a few million $.

What a great read. No wonder some of us cant stand crewing with you lot.
If the man is doing such a bad job go set up your own business. When you employ 30,000+ come back and tell us all about it.

Angry Dear Boy...Fly Again ETC

FAOD
My dear boy you operate on the far distant periphery of this company. You have no loyalty to anything but your own myopic requirements. You have also been here for a minute.Another two minutes will see you gone.
Those of us who have been here awhile have a great fondness for QANTAS but not its blow in management who, like you,are interested only in their own greed.
The only constant in this company is the staff who are loyal.
Dixon et al arrived long after we did and will depart way before we do.
Zero loyalty and, as has been said, not so bloody clever

At what stage did I ever say I was AKL base crew.

Dear MF, I have been around a little longer than you may think you know.

Just a couple more examples of people thinking they know it all.
Get on with the job and have a laugh. Its not that bad, really.

Angry FOAD..Try again One Day(Toad)

Just exactly what point are you trying to make?If any.
Get an MBA and you will see what,to the rest of us, is obvious.
QANTAS IS POORLY MANAGED.
If costs go up so should the retail price..Read airfares.
Dont call them "levies"
BA have done it, and increased their profit and their pax loads
They(BA)are however better managed than QF.
Biemans of Bangladesh are better managed than QF.
So dear boy,own up ..Who are you and what, if anything, do you do?
Where will YOU be in 5 years?

Il Duce basks in the glory...............

The following is "Little Mussilini's" response to receiving Qantas's award for number two airline in the world from the latest skytrax survey.

What are the chances that any recognition or thanks of ANY type is made towards it's OPERATIONAL staff ????

Julius Dixon and Il Duce , we're waiting...........

Qantas vote one of the world`s top airlines
Thursday, June 08, 2006

The Executive General Manager of Qantas, Mr John Borghetti, said Qantas was named the world`s number two airline for the second consecutive year, behind oneworld partner British Airways. Qantas took the accolade in the prestigious Skytrax Awards - the world`s largest airline passenger survey.

Qantas also won the Best Airline-Australasia and Best Airline-Trans Pacific awards, for the third and second years respectively.

"International aviation is one of the most competitive businesses in the world and it is a testament to Qantas` standards that we have held our number two ranking in both 2005 and 2006 while some very strong competitors experienced a fall in their survey ratings," Mr Borghetti said.

He said the Skytrax awards were regarded as a primary benchmarking tool for passenger satisfaction levels of airlines throughout the world.

"Skytrax is judged by more than 13.6 million travellers, which makes this survey a particularly important indicator of our customers` satisfaction levels," Mr Borghetti said.

the unprofessional

hi all,
i know you all know that the qf bastard daughter,"qf cc uk",is losing money,is full of b/s by ej and the crew think that their s* dosent s*.
after having spoken at length with various of our good workers, the members for thailand.i know that they were placed there to train the uk crew, and are treated with total disrespect of them and their culture.the uk crew are quote "snobbish, indifferent and rude." toward the bkk crew
bkk crew trade off the bkk/lhr trips just so they dont have to fly with the uk crew.they would much rather fly with the syd based crew.
the uk service is unprofessional, uncareing and lacks proper training.
our customers are walking away because of the uk crew.
i know,they tell me.

Qantas Share Price

If Little Caesar,Il Duce, and the Bean Counter Buddha are doing such a great job why is the share price now at $3.14(off a high of $4.20) and looking to drop below $3.00 by early next week.?
Talk about destruction of shareholder value.
The decision to grow the business and purchase newer more fuel efficient aircraft should have been made around 2000.
Qantas now has the oldest fleet in the region.
The classic has seen its day.Yet it still trundles up and down from AKL to LAX with weight restrictions and apalling fuel burn rates.
Genius,pure genius.
Dixon should have stuck to writing obituaries for the Wagga Star

Honestly you people s*** me to tears...i have been reading these posts long enough and have been flying long enough with the company in all divisions to know what im on about..

Basically, if you don't like it LEAVE. I have never experienced one good flight operated by SYD L/H crew...bone lazy and indifferent. Don't treat the pax like **** just because you have it in for the company. On that note, go work in the real world for the same money and having to put in real effort and then i'd like to see your attitudes towards flying change.

As for LHR crew, I'm one of them and I transferred from home. I really dont care what you think, I made the move for me - basically, you dont pay my bills!!! LHR service levels - we never have people get off grumpy. OK, some of the UK crew are snobbish but you get that anywhere. More often than not pax will comment how our sectors are better than the ones ex AUS.

Now ill wait for the temper tantrums to start...

Tinker Bell/Aka DASHSYD

Disneyland is a wonderful place.
You must enjoy living there.
The quality of service offered by the LHR base is in disarray.
So much so that so that a plan under consideration is to have handpicked on board managers from Sydney based in LHR on a rotational basis for 12 months.
This is to provide onboard training to bring the base in line with QF minimum standard of service which is currently not being achieved.
Morale, wages and cost of living also continue to be a problem

Oh and you are based in London are you???

You honestly have no clue...

And on what concrete information are you relying in order to say that we are in 'disarray'? The handpicked OBM's are news to me too.

Why is it I never have any issues with the company...I go to work, do what I'm paid to do and leave. You whingers get too involved and thats what makes you all so damn negative.

Again, go work in the real world you **** for the same salary and complain then!

...and on the point of the Thai crew...any wonder they would prefer to fly with SYD crew is because they have one thing in common - LAZINESS.

They are so robotic interacting with pax, will criticise you for wanting to get out in the cabin and are only concerned about break time.

Enough said!

FYI..DASHSYD

My daughter is based in LHR with QF.So I have a reasonable insight as to what is going on.
She asks me a lot of questions about the way things SHOULD be done.
I am an onboard manager and I have to deal with upset and disappointed pax when I take over an aircraft crewed by LHR base.
The idea about sending Sydney based onboard mangers to LHR is not a done deal...it is under consideration.
AGAIN....what is your point?
You angrily criticize both SYD and BKK based crew.
You appear to be someone who is not happy with the decision you made to go to LHR.
Well live with it and enjoy the next LHR winter.

What a Joke

DASHSYD - I can't beleive what I am reading. It's great that you went to LHR for you, I don't think anyone is disputing that. But I think you are over generalising things regarding the SYD L/H and BKK Based crew. As you said you get snobby crew anywhere but, you also get lazy crew anywhere.
Give the BKK crew a break, I would expect a Flight Attendant to have some kind of understanding in relation to cultural differences. Any problems with the BKK Base should be addressed by QANTAS and slagging them off is not only unproductive, it's damn right disrespectful.
I have flown with many SYD L/H crew and I have to say you are out of line to be making generalisations about them. Am I to assume, when you flew from SYD, everyone was lazy? .....Except for you of course?

Just remember, it's that "THEM" vs "US" mentality that will give LHR the reputation it is well developing.

Oh and did I not read the following statement in one of your previous posts?
"Why is it I never have any issues with the company...I go to work, do what I'm paid to do and leave. You whingers get too involved and thats what makes you all so damn negative."

After reading your posts I would really hate to see you being negative!

What......the Thais, lazy????

They have been called many things but to my knowledge, NEVER lazy.

I'll fill you in on what the Thais are doing.

They are fed up with being treated as 2nd class citizens by the LHR based crew so have decided "en masse" NOT to make up the difference for the work that your lot WON'T do.

The result?
It doesn't get done.

BTW. Thank your "chav" [google it] collegues for getting us kicked out of Queens Park Hotel will you.

We were kicked out and now stay in the middle of nowhere because your lot forced the hotel to empty the pool TWICE due to drunken parties and broken glass.

IDIOTS

The press statement by John Borghetti says it all "we are so excited to be second best"

It is time to stop throwing rubbish at each other and unite to demand the removal of the incompetent management group on QCA9

Dixon and his EXCO must be removed

It is our company and our jobs

Let's demand the AIPA / FAA / ALAEA / AWU / ASU strart working together. We can not succeed if we are divided. That is just playing into the hands of Dixon
