Also on the Footy Show, Sam gave the IFE a huge serve. Something about it took 12hrs to watch a movie due to the IFE. Also compared QF to any other 3rd world airline. Now I think the Melbourne Footy Show is sponsored by EK and the Collingwood FC (Eddie is pres) is sponsored by EK, but even if the problem only lasted for 3hrs that is a pain in the ass for everyone including the crew.

This thread is pure entertainment, nothing more.

.........and so the bitching continues.

No one will ever get a positive outcome from anything negotiated with the company if all that is done on this thread is "mud slinging" amongst one another.

Have your own opinions, but in reality I see very few comments from people in here who are actually willing to bring anything productive to the table.

To Leane7 - you signed the contract, we all signed the damn contract. I assume you did take the time to read it prior to signing?

Yes, TOD's like that are arduous, hell - it's not the first time that sort of thing has happened. But, Qantas are not "screwing" you as you so eliquently put it...... you did that yourself. You signed the contract, work rules and all, now deal with it.

.........enough said.

Well if it was accepted then you haven't got a leg to stand on. Accepting $200 for no crew rest is doing just that... "accepting it".

The work rules are clear, I understand if you did not understand fully prior to signing, but you deal with the cards dealt to you, or look for an alternative deck of cards (so to speak).

What would also help is if there was more people involved with FARSA, now I have read your opinion on the union, but don't forget - the crew ARE the union. If the crew don't unite, there is no union.

Those sorts of TOD's where very common 7 years ago when we first started flying, we did what we could to stop it from happening and sure we had a bitch to one another about too. But we never forget what the contract is, what the workrules are and why the base existed in the first instance.

I still maintain - you are not being srewed by QANTAS. You sold out the day you acknowledged the issues and stayed put.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. I'm just wary about the reputation the AKL Base often has when really, when it comes down to it, we only have ourselves to blame because what do we do.........?

.......We accept it.

to right

What would also help is if there was more people involved with FARSA from the FAAA to use as a guild line (right on flyboynath)

They are useless as tits on a bull it does not take from Sept 2005 work out some cont's out they are just giving as the go around the FAAA does not work that way (maybe we should go on strike come on Aust bases you will join us wont you.......?)

They are horrible, with no morales or decency. How they sleep at night I will never know. What they did to us as a group of loyal employees is simply disgusting in the extreme Vile. What terrible people to work for.

Accom SFO?????

wondering for those pilots that read this forum what their union are attempting to achieve by rejecting the SFO hotel in the city but are accepting of a hotel near the airport. Firstly is this rumour true???

What will it take for the reps of AIPA and the FAAA to get together to run a joint case on achieving a hotel of acceptable standard in an area which has facilities and amenities(i.e. the city environs).

Imagine pilots and cabin crew working together for the benefit of all. It can't be that hard surely??

No???????? the people im talking about are Qantas management QCCD l think to memory and l mean by long haul because all managers do lots work and put in lots of time in the office.........no cabin crew would do things like that (maybe Jetstar but thats what l've just heard)

Danger

I can't stand Newman. but that filthy little slimy spat on him.
I would have given him more than a smack in the chops
Hate to see what he does to pax meals.

I'd be off to the Dr for a blood test too if I were Newman
