Belfast comes up Short
Here's a rumour for the Rumour Network Heard that a Qantas a/c had to do a go-around in BNE today (sorry, no other details). The Heavylift Shorts Belfast on the strip in front of it couldn't get up enough power in time to get airborne. Have heard that it only had approx 30secs (?) to clear, but it takes a minute and a half to get up enough power to do the deed (i.e fly!!) .
I saw it takeoff from Cairns the other day, empty I think, it was much quieter than I thought it would be (Tynes?). Dissapointingly clean exhaust too.
In spite of the climb rate looking like Earths curvature/groundspeed it actually broke ground much sooner than I thought it would.

Still the number 1. It was ment to leave Cairns last Monday but couldn't get#1 going so sat on the bay for 7hrs. They finaly got it going and into the air but had to return as it started playing up. The guys have been fixing it all week last week.
