New Australian Airline!: Stallion Air

Hey Guys,
A friend of mine just went to a job interview for a 737NG FO's with a carrier that was advertised as being based out of Asia. Turns out it’s actually a new Australian start up called Stallion air. He received a bunch of info including the picture below, seems interesting I wonder if it will succeed?
Anyone have any info on when and where it will be flying?

"You Know You Wanna Ride Us"

Just think of it - Virgin and Stallion 737s sharing our skies! Sounds like a bit fanciful doesn't it?

Doesn't the emblem look remarkably similar to the one featured on this SCUBA gear website?

Cue X-Files intro music....

It is identical apart from the colour.

The website also happens to be the same as the decal on the 737 (stallionair.com.)

A 737NG names "Marjorie"?

C'mon now, lets try to keep some semblance of valid Reporting Points in this forum!

Thumbs up

To all involved with 'Stallion Air' and/or future employees,

I'm sure I'd approach any new starter airline in Oz with more enthusiasm if based in Australia or moreso in search of work with an airliner. However, all I wish is for the success of the new company and good luck to all pursuing a career with the said company.

PS - As John Travolta is Qantas' Aviator/Ambassador, will this then be fair grounds for Sylvester 'The Italian Stallion' Stallone's involvement with this new starter ?

...Interesting food for thought

Best Wishes to you all.

Not another bloody Australia startup - must have Ohhhhhh - $2 million.

Why does everone who gets sick of owning newspapers (Murdoch) or trucking companies (Ables), stevedoring companies or motor racing teams think that they can run an AIRLINE on $10 million start up and borrow the rest.

Compass 1 and 2; OzJet and all the others really do need to add some aviation experts to their executive teams.

Disgraceful

Woomera, I think you should lock this thread. It clearly has the potential of discrediting PPRUNE.

Of course they do! It's known as the PA31-900T. Floats are optional.

Almost! You're thinking of the PA31-900SH!T, it is the fully optioned model with the Seaplane prop, High gross weight, Iron compass and Twin wing (i.e. biplane). Only a few were built and the last one in service was written off recently during float conversion training when it landed wheels down in a lake. It was owned by some guy looking to start up a new charter outfit out of KNX. The aural warning, "Gear DOWN for RUNWAY landing" was not required for operations in India, the aircraft's former home, and was thus U/S at the time.

Wasn't the PA31-900T the one where they first identified the deficiencies of the Thronomeister?
