Exclamation Pacific Blue Australian AOC

Work on the PB AOC is well underway, with PB management asking for all pilot Australian licence details in the last few days. The reasoning for the AOC is stated to be "that PB pilots can operate VH registered (Virgin Blue) aircraft when PB aircraft are out for maintainance."
Is there any reason PB pilots could not fly domestic sectors in VB aircraft, or be asked to fly VB services if VB pilots were to perhaps have an industrial arguement with their management?
Can anyone shed light on the big picture here?

Could this have something to do with 'Virgin Pacific'.

The Virgin Pacific issue has been discussed elsewhere. It won't be PB doing the Pacific flying just like it won't be VB.

BB if you believe in the grassy knoll thoery then I guess you can make out of this whatever you like.

Chances are that as planes get moved around the network for maintenance and also the "live TV" roll out there will be a requirement to shift aircraft around to cover the network.

Just my 2 cents.

Jetstar is to Qantas as Pacific Blue is to Virgin Blue.

Sad but true, get the picture.

That is the concern, the PB guys seem a good bunch and do not want to fly aus domestic, or in any way step on VB pilot's patch. However, history has shown airline management has not always acted in a fair or descent manor. There may not be a plan to use PB pilots in Oz now, but what would it take to make that possibility a reality?
