Re: TJ Shown the DooR
Can we have a source please, internal or external and soon.
This is a rumour forum but if you are going to refer to an individual who is easily recognised please have some form of attribution.
It is too easy to float what may be a furphy that can be damaging to the individual.

Damage the individual? Thats a joke right?
We may have robust discussion here, but we try to protect the individuals rights, at the very least of those who are not KNOWN, in the public domain or are themselves regular players here.

W.
The J* pilots (maybe other employees) have received an email from the J* CEO about the above. Although the wording is different the end result is the same. So not a furphy.

..and yet another airline bows to mediocrity. Any of you that know the man would know that his people management skills are fine when it comes to people who perform professionally. Poor performers incurr the wrath and so they should. Probably a little too heavy handed for delicate pilots, but at least the man is passionate about getting it right and ultimately providing job security for all.
I personally worked side by side with the man during the collapse of Ansett. The only executive manager who hung around while all the others scarpered off-shore back to NZ, or disappeared to other places. The man fought tooth and nail to get that airline back up in the air. Yes he left to join QF, but the fact was that he was sideswiped by mediocre AN management that had been under performing for years and who went crying to Fox.
And for all you Impluse pilots that thought the airline was better when it was Impulse and before he came along, wake up to yourselves. Your airline was run by a CP who should have stuck to regional operations. He brought Jetstar to its knees before TJ was seconded from QF. That move alone secured your ability to take on the new A320's and grow at a phenomenal rate which has provided you with enhanced job security and command prospects. And now, when even better opportunities are on the table, those same Impulse managers have run to the boss and told tales. Dirty pool fellas..dirty pool.
Let's see how well you do now....I suppose the next thing you'll do is to kick out the direct entry AN Airbus pilots...after all, you guys are so f*cking good you could do it all on your own.

Barbossa,
TJ certainly may have been a positive force in shaping the present, very successful Jetstar but unfortunately his people skills have been absolutely abhorrent. To my mind that makes him an awful manager and there are others out there who can get the same results without alienating their entire department.
You may find taking direction with the proverbial finger constantly poking you in the chest to be a profitable experience, but free-thinking and intelligent professionals (and whether you like to hear it or not, the VAST majority of JQ staff are just that) generally perform to a lower standard under such conditions.
Qantas/Jetstar management have realised this and taken steps to reverse the damage he may have caused. JQ staff are, unsurprisingly, very happy about it.
As for your little hissy-fit about us "kicking out" the direct entry AN pilots so we can make it like it used to be at Impulse, wake up to yourself, shags. These people are valued members of the company's staff; and funnily enough TJ's temporary replacement is one of them.
