Another thread hijacked and closed

The thread "Heros doing Heros" was just another that went down the old "We was done" path and was closed. And is it surprising with garbage such as that which follows being posted here:

HI'er posted:

"I accept full responsibility for:-
+ Standing up and being counted publically, as one who fully supported my fellow pilots;
+ Being responsible for trying to maintain the BEST conditions negotiated for the then domestic airline pilots;
+ Being willing to forego the initial threats and cajoling of the companies, by media, and by direct personal contact (telephone, mail, and courier) to "surrender";
+ Realising that there was more to this attack on our conditions that would affect only ME in the short term;
+ Understanding that WE were all in this together, for OUR future;
+ Knowing that the outcome of THIS fight would undoubtedly determine how OTHER (non-pilot) employees would be "handled" ("Who will be next?");
+ Having been responsible for my family, and ensuring that THEY could have faith in my values - taught to me by my parents and church - and that I would continue to appreciate their trust in me;
+ Not having any tolerance of the scabs - those who saw quick gain for little outlay;
+ Realising that our union (The Federation, the AFAP) was resourcing many and varied professionals to advise them;
+ Having FAITH in a system that had worked for our betterment for more than 30 years;
+ FOOLISHLY believing that the scum trio of Hawke, Abeles, and Murdoch would play fairly;
+ Finally - 16 years later - being able to look back at what had been a HUGELY successful airlne, started by a PILOT ~ Sir Reginald Miles Ansett ~ and knowing that RMA, a pilot himself, would probably have been happy to have seen the airline named after him, die, because it was infested by pilots who chose the the easy way, rather than those who were willing to stand steadfast for their principles.

I accept FULL responsibiltiy for all of that.

What do you who destroyed that system (the scabs) stand for?"

He uses his tongue better than a $50 whore!!

What a pity there is no substance and it has more holes than Mr Reason's swiss cheese.

Resourcing many professionals?? Like Tim Watson Munro, a convicted drug dealer??? Like him?? Give me a break

The brawl being responsible for the downfall of Ansett?? Get your hand off yer tool lad.

Your values "taught to you by your parents and the church"?? And you hate scabs?? Church?? The church teaches hate?

I do not have the time, nor tolerance, to deal with half wit meat beaters such as you.

GT-R you are a goose.

I did not write all the above. I cut and pasted the quote, so I actually wrote very little. I have no time to deal with each individual point, but each is equally easy to discredit.

Next please.

ys120fz,

I reckon a good dose of laxatives should solve most of your problems. See you doctor if the symptoms persist........... that's if you have the time of course.

ys120fz,

How many names have you posted under to date? Always the same rubbish, ever more vitriolic until you finally get banned and move on to a new identity. Tiresome reading.

ys120fz, don't waste your time on these zombies, notice in the writing how they are "willing to stand steadfast for their principles".

That's all these zombies have, principles and dogmas, there is a new thread here on D&G now, stating how at VB they have recruited great GA guys with the returnees and making VB into some sort of religeous experience and meeting every 2 months to form a daisy chain and pat themselves on the back.

The so called returnees see themselves as kind of returned soldiers, carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders, landing on the beaches, facing the enemy and doing it all for the great cause of the zombies, because they are the men of principles.

VB is a zombie airline, they would not be returnees if it were not for VB, so they can thank their lucky stars as truth is stranger than fiction at times

Ahh you see, the great intelect of Next Generation, what a great contribution to the thread, oh well just another zombie.

Yes the 89'er zombies resigned on the 24th August 1989, all these idiots that follow the preaching of the '89ers zombies don't want to read the utterings of their Gand Clansman of the time " I suppose I would have done everything a bit differently with hindsight".... No **** Sherlock!!

But no problem to just keep calling the (AN guys mainly) as scabs never seems to apply to the Australian guys, christ! you resigned, once you resign you have no leg to stand on, jobs advertised are for the taking by anyone.

Ahhh but they have principles like the 12 or so treatise writen by HI'er you see, lets pick on people that are easy targets, and forget about everything else, so the word scab or scabs explains everything...panacea for all their ills, all you have to say is...ah bloody scabs, what's it like being a scab, the rule of the scabs, say it long enough and you end up believing it.

The scab is powerless under terrorism. As a rule, he is not so good nor gritty a man as the men he is displacing, and he lacks their fighting organization. He stands in dire need of stiffening and backing. His employers, the capitalists, draw their two remaining weapons, the ownership of which is debatable, but which they for the time being happen to control. These two weapons may be called the political and judicial machinery of society. When the scab crumples up and is ready to go down before the fists, bricks, and bullets of the labor group, the capitalist group puts the police and soldiers into the field, and begins a general bombardment of injunctions. Victory usually follows, for the labor group cannot withstand the combined assault of galling guns and injunctions.

Whatever

Gawd you guys really need to move on.

If you want to play power games with the big boys, you have to accept the consequences. Some of you went toe to toe with people much smarter and stronger than you, and you got beat. Accept the consequences.

If you resign, you waive all rights the the position you recently occupied. More fool you for resigning.

The world has moved on, powerful unions in aviation are a thing of the past, as are luxurious terms and conditions.

The saddest thing in the whole mess is the complete inability of so many of you to accept that you made some fundamental errors, and both learn from them and move on. Life is too short for the endless debate about 1989. Nobody cares, it is forgotten by all but the bitter few who still relive those days.

Get over it.

The reason we have had legislation is that the "market" is blind and deaf to the public good.

It is only legislation (some law) that forces him to buy a salad instead of a hamburger at his local fast food shop.

It is legislation exclusively that forces him to buy some non-fat milk at his grocery store this weekend.

It is only legislation that forces this idiot to go to Walmart to buy house insulation or duct tape.

The market is blind and deaf to pleasing customers. In fact, the market doesn't NEED customers. That's why it makes every effort to kill 'em all off. It only exists to murder all its clients. The only way the market businesses STAY in business is because governemnt laws force customers to buy.

And thats all I have to say about that

Unfortunately we couldn t and got done. Pure and simple, but there are some who can't accept that.
