Anyone care to confirm the rumour that Air New Zealand have sent a recruitment team to the USA to look for 777 type-rated crews because they can't keep up with all the required training due to higher than anticipated fleet hopping?

No the Waikato Maori trust is getting a $400 million goverment grant to train unemployed youth from Hamilton as pilots.

What's more…there’s a rumor hovering around Dubai that they will be headhunting Emirates 777 crews as they hear they are very accepting of terms & condition changes!

Do they need a rated A320/B767/B737 pilot. or just the B777... has anyone got an email for someone in flt ops.. not their recruitment dept .....I had the standard response from MS JH.something about having 500 pilots with +3000hrs on their books. cheers for any info

I got an unsollicited email off them yesterday explaining they are currently looking for guys with 2500hrs +
As Im 757/767 rated I guess that should put you in the picture propoganda if you've got that time..or a decent level of experience on jets.
