That's bulls**t, sunfish. Or are you American?
I think you've been watching too many movies like "Platoon."
Out of interest, which battalion (or other unit) were you in?

Cut Lunch cowboy, the social 6 went to JTC three time. TW course, TW instructors and finally counter insurgency. Was rated DP1 and applied to visit as an observer just as Lance Barnard (?) made everyone fold up tents and go home.

Qantas is a great company to work for if you can ignore the political red tape beauracracy that comes with just about every management decision.
You can't scratch your arse without filling out a form!!

I was, of course, referring to 'fragging' (military leaders ahem 'accidentally' meeting their demise courtesy of very angry troops). I figured the comment was clearly not serious at the time, but it certainly came accompanied by an air of intense frustration at the confrontational and uncooperative attitude practised by certain management types (especially the one mentioned in the previous posts).
This sort of managerial attitude seems to be gaining ground within QF, along with the 'shoot first and ask questions later' principle, and a disturbingly (well, to management it should be anyway) large number of pilots are getting very p***ed off with it. My own opinion for what it's worth - probably not much - is that the number of people not 'content' at QF has risen exponentially over the past year or 2. Still, it's far better than being on the dole queue.

Damned if we do and damned if we don't, lock it that is.
This Forum is for Rumour and News, some good some not so good, some just plain frightful.
We don't [b]create[b] ANY of it we just try and keep it upright and us out of the courts.
Both types are entertained here without fear or favour.
If an organisation, by its behaviour generates bad press and it gets reported or defended here so be it.
It seems it is QFs time here for the moment.
We recollect that in the past Ansett, VB, Impulse, Rex, Jet*, Qantaslink, Compass MKs 1 and 11 the host of can bes wannabes and just plain dreamers have been the subject of vigorous debate.
It has been thus since the beginning of PPRuNe.
They are all praised or not equally here.
We don't keep score, we just moderate the traffic that's generated by you the readers.
If an airline is suffering more than another here, then it is probably because they have issues that are causing a level of angst within it sufficient for it to be canvassed here.
It is the nature of the beast.
We have enough to do moderating those threads. Another thread about a thread that deals with another thread.................... need I go on.
Go figure.
