ZL,

Any reason why he should?

Letting people who make threats on board aircraft because they are a) frequent flyers and b) mental cases is, in my opinion, a reasnoble topic for discussion, as in WTF was QF thinking!!!

Qantas claimed he was a frequent flyer and well known to staff, who deemed the threat unlikely and believed that he had mental issues.
Oh, thank god for that! Because only a sane person would ever want to interfere with a flight, right?!?

We had some jerk joke about having a bomb in his bag a month ago.....he appeared in court last week. These bone heads need the book tossed at them. The look on the guys face when the fuzz arrived was priceless.

Whether staff did or didn't know the guy is not the issue in my opinion. What is more important is sending out a clear message to other potential nutters that they don't know.
