Not an ASA run college, private company run-doubt whether salary maintenance or TA will be on offer.

Word of mouth rumours so far, nothing concrete!

ATC College at YBMC

Planning is well advanced to establish an International ATC Academy at Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydore. Current planning will see facility open for business in 2005. Principals are Alan Gosling ex-ASA and Bob Gardiner ex-RAAF.
POC is Bob Gardiner on [email protected].

Porx,
Interesting indeed. Who will be your target group? What will the training be in, that is, what discipline (TWR, AREA, APP?). From where will the training be derrived, ICAO? What will the facilities be like? Hope all is well post ADATS. Cheers,

NFR.

Surely, they'll only want instructors who know something about procedural ATC, won't they mate?

It probably wouldn't be too hard to turn out a better product than the ASA college. in a shorter time frame.

ATC Academy at YBMC

NFR

Standby for update in a week or so. Should have definitive data on who, what and when shortly.

Training will be ICAO-based for international market but the training curriculum will be competency-based rather than attendance-based. Hopefully, this will allow IATCA to provide a "guarantee" of usability of graduates in any control position to our clients.

More on this as the demand dictates.

suunto22: why stop at bagging ASA when you can bag out trainees? Sorry, I mean products. You would be a great instructor I am sure.
