rating...

Seems they were endorsing/rating/whatever you callit the pilots for the F100today- doing touch & goes at Perth this arvo. Must say it was a bit of a treat to see the 100 do not one but three 'landings' in a day!!!

New colours...

The newly painted F50 was at Perth today for a short time this afternoon, before leaving on a trip. The tail still has the navy-blue strip on the front edge of the fin, which does mar it a bit, but it's better than the half-A* scheme they've had since '01!

Not quite so nice as the F100, being the tail isn't so raked on the F50's, but still an improvement. Couldn't quite see whther they've put the lens flare on as well or just the star, as it was raining at the time.

Had no camera with me....

The "navy-blue strip on the front edge of the fin" is actually the black de-icing boot on the leading edge of the tail. Consequently it can't be painted!

Photos of FNA in all it's various paint schemes, including the latest here.

Riiiiigggghhht.....

Well. Shows how much I know about that then.

Seems I edited to add the pics same time you did. Whoops.

Well, I wonder if they'd done a black stripe in line with the de-icing boot (thank you) whether it'd look a tad neater. Just me being picky

I still like the colour scheme. We need more blue flying in the sky these days
