Lightbulb JOINT IFER Training

Was reading a report lying around on the console last night, some people on a jolly around the world about In Flight Emergency Response. It mentioned an astonishing concept from Germany called JOINT. Don't know what it stands for, but the plan is that a number of aircraft simulators (manned by real aircrew) are plugged into an ATC simulator (manned by a real ATC). Then something BAD happens and the guys with clipboards see how they interact.

It would really challenge the assumptions that training people would make for us on what the other guy would do in such situations.

When do we start???
