Noticed that. I think it's something to do with BBS Pre Upgrade and BBS Post upgrade. Dunno to be truthful, but don't pay any attention to me....according to Winstun my opinion doesn't count for anything. I have only been in the business for 38 years and don't know **** all.

Taildragger dude

Re BNE 2-9 feb. Depending on how quick things move post Seattle there is an excellent chance I'll be in Brisvegas about then. I'll have ta get ya up in my Bonanza shags!!!

Re Winstun;

I long ago put him on my ignore list since nothing he has to say is worth the time and effort required to read. Just click on his profile button and look down the bottom for 'add winstun to my ignore list'

Even old Sharpie isn't on the list, for although we've had some ding dong disagreements on this forum from time to time, I still get a smile from reading his posts. I'm sure I've pissed him off severly, at least as often as he has me, but I'd still buy the old C**T a San Mig. Whether he'd buy one back exercises the mind on very rare occassions

Re the 767;

Who? Well that would be telling!

Why? For the London layovers where I can partake of beverages in your fine company and perhaps partake of your C180 too

How? Well it proves the old saw about BSing some of the people all the time

I hope PX do get the F100...be an excellent replacement for the venerable F28. Shoulda been done years ago!!

I actually don't think they'll be too much heartache at PX over F100 commands. Between the F100 and the 767 crewing shortages everone will (mostly) get what they want, a few will get what they aren't quite ready for and the bulk of those will rise to the challenge admirably...expat or national.

Ahhh. nice words Simbu.! I'll even buy you a crate or two of san mig if you ever hit Subic.

Britannia Rules the Waves(air)

Rumour has it that the whole pixie 76 complement are stranded in Aoteroa due to the brits departure before the 76 was ready leaving a lot of angry pax around various countries.

This must be the final twist in the last chapter of PX...who would have ever imagined that they could ever make a profit...totally unbelievable....this is really in the realms of fantasy.

If true, Sharpie, does this mean that they only started making money since you left?....hehehe....and no, I am not asking if there is a connection.

PX making money, Sharpie & Chuckie buying each other beers..has the world gone crazy? Next you'll be telling me that the speed of light is no longer a constant or that Winstuns IQ has risen above room temperature.

As you guzzle those San Migs...think of my poor parched throat out here in the dunes...

Winstun, Whoa! easy, dude!!... -- yes racism is indeed ugly - and its not unidirectional. A fact you might like to contemplate in the unlikely event that you find your navel is of no longer an intellectual challenge.

On that subject, has Winstun dropped off the planet.?
Has he decided to give up.? Pity, I had just started to wind him up a wee bitty.

Chuckles A London layover and a C180 ....heaven.!!
Brewers are on Red Alert ... Six pots off in January to be replaced, and I am in the Land Dunnunda till early March, by then the weather here should have risen above absolute zero.

Lightbulb

I know this is a bit old news now, but the reason PX was able to make such a stellar financial performance last year was due to pessimistic accounting predictions on the Kina/US$ rate for 2003.

I'm not sure what they eventually hedged at, but given the Kina went as low as $0.18 in November 2002, their budgetting for 2003 couldn't really have been much higher.

As it was 2003 saw the big K closer to 27/28 cents, so the budget figures turned out to be a lot better than anyone thought... hence the K45million profit.

The big question is what they've hedged on for 2004...? Anyone?
