i wonder how the unions would react to a 3rd party ground handling provider servicing the low cost model on cheaper wages alongside qf staff???

Suuff Suc,

Thankyou for your concern regarding 130,000 oz dollars to skipper a jet in Syd.

Why would it concern you if I accepted a job under those conditions - how would it affect you. QF are not going to sack you and your conditions are safe.

More importantly, what right do you have to tell others what to do.

FatEric,

Why would it concern me. It's not me so much but the future of all those who follow. Many fought, some lost, for the conditions under which we are employed. they fought for good reason.

Well! much has happened since my last post and all unfolding exactly as predicted. I think its time we faced the obvious. I always had my doubts about Geoff over there at QF ever since he came out with that classic line over the Ansett issue and I quote " We're gearing up for the knockout blow" that's right I thought, knock out Ansett, ensure Virgins survival and then take on the challenge of some serious competition. Well now I'm left in absolutely no doubt.

What's he done since he's been in the chair, not much except start up a couple of new airlines and now he wants to start up a third. I think it's time we faced it, the guy either has "no clue" or has completely "lost the plot". Onya Geoff.
