Unhappy The End Of The Ansett Era.

Lady Joan Ansett passed away peacefully yesterday, aged 80.

She met the then Reg Ansett when she was 16, and had gone to work at Ansett.

Sir Reginald Ansett died in 1991, aged72.

May they Rest In Peace.

You are correct, Sir Reginald died on 23 Dec 1981 aged 72.

I took part in a flyover of Melbourne after a memorial service on the 15th Feb 1982.

I wonder what the 3 daughters Janet, Jane and Jillian are doing.

That must have been one your most proudest flying moments B772.

The last I saw of his daughters was when one was being interviewed just after the collapse. She was in tears.

Condolences to all the family.

Yes, Sir Reginald passed away in 1981, although (sadly) I wouldn't think he has been resting in too much peace.
