Medical application form

Sorry to be asking you guys but the CAA medical application form is it asking current occupation and employer or NATS and ATCO?

There's obviously a few irrelevant questions also without the option of N/A. With a 48hr turnaround thought I might get a quick answer on here.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I put NATS & TATC on mine. Don't panic too much though as you have to bring a form with you for the medical and sign it witnessed by the doctor, so you can always fill in the blanks with them there.

Thanks!

I was told it’s not important and you can put either. So I went with NATS and TATC :-)

Guess this means you were successful? Congratulations!!

Good afternoon all

On Monday of this week I received a call informing me I had passed stage 3, I think I was probably in the first wave of responses. Had a busy week at work so struggled to get on here and update.

I was told the sameas other successful candidates that it will be early 2020 however that’s no bother to me.

I have completed the references and medical forms and returned them to their respective addresses however I haven’t received an email regarding the security at this stage. Guess that will come at a later date.

For those who passed stage 3 in the OLD process and who will have requested their medical earlier than us recent folk, have you had any progression in booking your medical date or are you all still waiting?

Well done to everyone who have passed and good luck to everyone who are waiting on a response.

You’ll probably be looking at Sep/Oct for your medical I imagine. Once you’ve returned the medical form, you’ll have that booked in... just sit tight and you’ll hear back soon enough.

Whris 12th July 2019 13:31

I was accepted April 2nd and only just had medical on 4th July. Does take a while as they have all current controllers to go through the medical centre too.

Security clearance process can't be started until you're within 6 months of your start date.

That's quite a good speed, thanks for letting me know.

I've advised the medical team i'll be away on holiday in Sept so hoping they can get me in before then, if not it will probably be October.

I've never had a medical before so i'm intrigued - a quick look on NATS website and they display this infographic of all the tests completed on the day. Is this correct?

FAO The GP, who's just private messaged me - please clear your inbox/sentbox so I can reply :) As a new member I think the site temporarily limits your storage.

There isn't anything maths related in Stage 1 or Stage 2, just cognitive tests / games and a personality questionnaire.

Hi hunteruk ,
Thank you so much as I was revising maths in my free time and now I can focus on cognitivity tests.

Search on YouTube for the Cut-e tests (such as "Cut-e Monitoring Ability") because they have uploaded a variety of example videos which will help you understand what to expect.

Thank you for helping me out!
I will check it out.

Has anyone else received a phone call? I missed mine on Thursday as I was driving, they left a voice-message to call them back, I'm calling back but it keeps going to voicemail :(

I’d call the general recruitment phone number if I were you ;)

taybz 16th July 2019 11:41

i called them but you need to leave a voice message with them and they call back. I think I will continue to try and get through, will get through at some point. will post if i hear back from them

Medical emails are starting to come through. I’ve booked on for early October in Swanwick due to holiday commitments in September.

The GP 17th July 2019 11:25

Yep, they gave me early Sept too. No signs of security paperwork but i guess there is plenty of time.

taybz 17th July 2019 14:15

I got a reply back, I passed stage 3, thanks all for the help!

I don’t think that’s correct.

Theres no limit, if you’re good enough and meet the criteria, you will pass. Whether there’s 0 or 6 people, it doesn’t matter.
