Hey guys I too have interview this Friday and feeling pretty nervous about it. Was wondering if anyone knows the details we need to prep for. My laptop has recently just crashed and seemed to delete everything from my hard drive and email so all of a sudden i'm feeling pretty scared and uninformed http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/confused.gifhttp://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/confused.gif:ugh:

Cheers
here you go :)

Hi guys :)

I was just wondering if every test we're doing on Stage 1 is multiple choice?

Roll on 3rd December @ Prestwick :)

unrealdream 4th November 2010 23:57

I have my stage 1 on the 11th November in the morning. Gonna be driving down from kent on the day so gonna be pretty bleary eyed! Can't decide if it might be worth getting a place in the premier inn!

Feeling fairly prepared, but obviously anything can happen on the day!

Crazy Voyager 5th November 2010 00:17

Ah, then we're 3 people from PPrune on the 11th! You on the erly or late test?

unrealdream 5th November 2010 00:21

Early test :)

NimrodMR2 5th November 2010 03:17

KirjE and Rok87: thanks kindly for your advice. I will certainly book as close as I can to take account of the traffic, the thought hadn't really crossed my mind until you chaps mentioned it; the De Vere New Place sounds ideal as it's away from the busy areas and cheap (looks suitably plush too)!

I wish you chaps going on the 11th the best of luck, and if there's anyone going on the 12th (as I am) please feel free to drop me a pm.

LIM 5th November 2010 10:34

Hey there!

I'll be another one joining you the 11th at Whiteley!!! :)

Crazy Voyager 5th November 2010 11:20

Seems we are 4 people on the 11th then, are you also on the erly test LIM? If so we're all in the same round aswell :)

Anyone else wanting to chat feel free to drop me a PM and I'll give you my skype and mail ;) Now I'm making lunch and then reading through the motivational paper, only 6 days left now!

sambatc 5th November 2010 11:59

another on the 12th here

ImpossibleIsNothing:

Although at Stage 1 your attire doesn't matter, I think you'll find yourself more comfortable wearing a shirt, trousers and shoes (no tie/jacket), as the other applicants will be in a similar style of dress.

You don't want to stand out as the guy who wore jeans/t-shirt/trainers at the Stage 1...!

But you'll probably be told to take off your ties and jackets when you get in the room (our group was!)

KirtjE 5th November 2010 12:38

gazb2:

Yes, everything on the Stage 1 is multiple choice.

But there are often boxes for "None of the above" (which are the correct answer occasionally), so you will need to know exact answers for a lot of the questions :)

gazb2 5th November 2010 12:41

Thank you very much....appreciated :)

Spyder35 5th November 2010 14:34

Had Stage 1 today. Tale of 2 halves really; the ATC and nemeracy paper were very straightforward but the cubes and diagramming were pretty challenging- I only managed 31 on cubes and 33 on diagramming so looks like I'll be back next year!

Good luck to all!

got my stage 1 next friday, and just received an email from HR titled

"Updated Interview Information"

saying that additional information is available regarding your selected interview.

however, I've read the email a few times and can't spot anything new in there at all..... :ugh:

anyone else received this??

Crazy Voyager 5th November 2010 16:00

I got a similar one a month ago -ish, but I just left it at that since nothing was changed. Haven't heard anything more on the subject since.

Edit: Acctually it seems I got one today, but it's still just the same details as I've always had. Maybe someone of us should mail HR and see?

unrealdream 5th November 2010 16:13

Got one today too. I'm pretty sure it's just a reminder rather than updated information.

Didn't half make my stomach turn over though lol.

Crazy Voyager 5th November 2010 16:30

Yeah same here, it would be my worst nightmare to have it cancelled now since I've spent a lot of money on plane tickets and stuff getting there.

Right now I just want time to go faster though so I can get over there, meet some of you guys and take the tests. I'm nervous but also really looking forward to it!

student88 5th November 2010 17:42

Don't be scared. It's really not that bad.

I'm attending S1 on the 11/11/10 at the CTC in Fareham - AM slot. See you there! :)

Crazy Voyager 5th November 2010 17:52

5 people and counting then

How do you guys feel for next week? Confident, nervous, scared?

I myself feel confident, but I am at the same time not taking anything for granted. I belive this might be the hardest test I've taken so far in my life and I'm preparing as much as possible to come there and really be challanged. But I have a gut feeling that I'm able to do this, as long as I don't take anything for granted and keep working and go in there with the mindset to do my very best. How ever if I get overconfident or start thinking I've already passed, then I've got no chance.

student88 5th November 2010 18:04

Try not to stress yourself out too much. The only thing you can really prepare for are the DST calculations and reading of the pre-test document. The rest isn't really anything you can prep for. Just get a good nights sleep and a big breakfast in the morning.
