I was at the stage 2 day, and got the e-mail back yesterday. Now for another venture down south for stage 3. Only problem now, is fitting it all in around my shifts at work

Ffaf 10th July 2009 16:48

Congratulations. Which S2 date were you at?

ILS RWY27L 10th July 2009 17:09

Got an incredible turn around time of just four hours for the OPQ thing. Now to complete my application and book a Stage 2 date! :ok:

Best of luck to everyone going through the process!

Hi,

Congrats, How long were you waiting for after completing stage three, before you heard anything and by what method did you hear you had passed ?

Thanks

Avoiding_Action 10th July 2009 22:43

I received an email three days after. Although I know some people who took the full 15 days to find out if they were successful.

FEAST [Stage 2]

A couple of links worth a read for anyone with a Stage 2 appointment approaching.

Entry Point North - studentsite - Selection Phase 1 - FEAST Web Based Test

Entry Point North - studentsite - Selection Phase 2 - FEAST Strip Display Management Test (FEAST SDM)

Whereas with many EU Member States using FEAST, they tend to split the test into two parts, with NATS (I believe) it is a full day session with no split.

Knew I'd forgot something!!! Was at the 2nd July one.

alison2002 11th July 2009 09:53

Hi to the guy who had stage 3 on Monday (forgot your name sorry!) I take it you haven't heard back yet either??
I must have checked my phone and emails about 5 times a day this week

Ffaf 11th July 2009 13:09

Same date I was at.

Booked my Stage 3 for August 21st, have to try and arrange a visit to Swanwick and Bristol (if possible) before then now.

bbrush 12th July 2009 16:42

Might try and visit Manchester. Looking like September time for me. Can't wait for the long drive down again :ugh:

I'm due to re-apply in October after falling at S3 in Feb this year. Is anyone else re-applying this year after not getting through last time? How is everyone coping with the changes in the process?

Really worried I don't make it back through to S3...next time is my 3rd time...:ooh:

Stage 3

To all those who have recently undertaken stage 3. How did it go? Tough? Successful? I have mine on the 22nd? Anyone else attending the same day?

Sat stage 3 last week, not as pressurised as stage 2, all in all fairly relaxed day. First thing you do is the group test, involves a scenario of bus routes, you are given an individual task to work out then you all put you plans together to come up with an answer. quite enjoyable really, i wouldnt worry about it though. Next you are taken off it two's to have your interview. We had 6 of us so you will be waiting around for most of the day. My post a couple of pages back has a link to the new NATS website where there is a list of the questions you are going to be asked about, so have a look and prepare some answers.

Good luck with it, im still waiting for THE result !!!!

Ffaf 14th July 2009 16:15

I know it says the day lasts from 830-430, but do the people who are interviewed first then leave or does anything happen afterwards?

JonathanB 14th July 2009 16:23

On my S3 we had a tour of the Ops rooms at Swanwick. I expect you could go if you wanted to though, but it wasn't actually suggested!

RigATC2B 14th July 2009 17:51

Ah that sounds alright then. Thanks for that. Good luck with the result, hate the wait. Keep us informed of how you do. I just want to get on with it now.

alison2002 14th July 2009 17:51

Hi I had my S3 on the 6th. The day was something like this:
We didn't really do anything until about 9:30 then we did the group exercise which took about an hour. There were 6 of us and they interviewed 2 at a time (different interviewers, different rooms!) So 4 people were interviewed before lunch (10:30-1pm) then lunch for an hour and the other 2 interviewed after lunch. The interviews were just over an hour and the day involved a lot of waiting around especially for me as I was one of the first 2 to be interviewed! Once we had all been interviewed we had a tour and left about 4:30. All in all a long day! Good luck! I am still waiting to here:sad:

I agreee with JonathanB, i guess you could ask to leave if you were first to be interviewed but i dont think it would be the "done" thing. There is a lot of waiting around, the first interviewees were done by 11am ish and then had to wait until 4pm for the "tour", worth it if you havent seen LTC or the ops room.

Ffaf 14th July 2009 18:39

OK fair enough, I just wasn't sure if anything happened after the interview, if there's a tour or anything else happening then I'd definitely wait around. Wouldn't look too good running off early anyway would it!

Deltacat13 15th July 2009 07:21

:ok:For whoever did S2 yeasterday, GOOD LUCK to you guys!!:ok:
