I have one simple question for you guys........... Would you work on average 50 hrs more ( yep it's gone up as they have now given the tower guys EVEN more time off!!) a month than the colleague next to you without questioning why......or just smile, happily accept it and say nothing......Whilst he/she sits back and watches how much harder your working for the same benefits.......who's the MUG?

I'm pretty sure one of the things I wouldn't do is be on here crying about it.

If you feel that your applications to other posts are being mysteriously blocked then you'll probably have to go with option two.

Let me give you a hint............. Ever thought people may like to have as much information as possible about new positions before accepting them ........and wouldn't you rather know the real truth about a potential employer instead of believing the rose tinted version ??


The advantage for me is that whilst providing the truth......... I can vent about it too! So unless you have anything constructive and relative to the discussion?! May I suggest you wind your neck in and go back to playing with your train set in the sandpit!

Feel free to suggest whatever you like and to continue trying to justify your whining in any way you wish but if you take even the most cursory of glances over all your posts on this thread there is only one common theme.

You are complaining that someone at the same unit works on average 1 1/2 hours a shift less than you. Maybe if I ever start struggling with what other people are doing rather than enjoying my job it will be time to think of a career change.

I think you'll find though that it's actually 2hrs a shift, over a cycle ,that's 8 hrs less......or a shift less ,and over the month it averages out over 55hrs less.
So what your saying is I should love my job more..... as you do ....and work the extra 55hrs for free..........??? As you would!! REALLY??? Hmmm sorry but who's the chump??!!!! Bet your management wish there were more like you?

Yep we have FINALLY received some new starters........so assuming it all goes well there is some light at the end of the DARK tunnel.And by the sounds of things it's going in the right direction.....still not exactly what we'd like but far better than a certain unit not too far away if you get my drift?!!
