Hey,
Just thought I would share a list I made for all the acronyms on the test materials for the S1 interview. MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service I found it helped me revise. Cheers, Paul |
Had my S1 yesterday in Fareham, went ok I think. Everyone was wearing suits or shirt and tie if that helps anyone.
Regarding the brain training on the DS, the maths paper is all caluclations regarding time and distance |
Hey, I had my stage 2 at the coorporate technical centre last monday, I stayed over night as it was too far for me to travel. the closest train station is swanwick, i think its about £6 to the ctc from there, but there is a free shuttle bus back to the station afterwards, just ask the receptionist, she was really helpful.
also, there is a post on page 131 of this forum of links of examples for stage 1. I wish i had seen it before mine, but make sure you get to grips with cubes as they are also in stage 2 aswell! Hope this helps! Good luck!! |
Just a quick question for anyone who's been on a tower/Swanwick visit, are Jeans/T-shirt suitable?
|
Personally I'd go smart-casual - you never know who you might meet or what contacts you may make for the future! Better to make a good impression!
|
Had my S1 today (12:30 group), anyone else on here have theirs?
Good luck and let me know how you do. Did anyone else on here think they did bad or not as good on the cubes but think they did very well on other exams and still get through? Seb |
Can someone please explain cubes to me?
What do you do with the black bits as opposed to the white bits? Many thanks. :uhoh: |
Can someone please explain 'cubes' to me too? :E:E

Cubes
Cubes are six sided 3D shapes...
NATS use patterned ones during stage 1. You're shown one 3D cube then given a choice of 5 flattened out cubes, one of which has the same pattern. Choose wisely. Standard spatial awareness test. Simples. |
"What do you do with the black bits, as opposed to the white bits?"
- Simply imagine that you are in "The House of Mirrors, where left is right and right is wrong" ! :} |
no offence salsaboy, i took my stage one on friday 7th august, its actually the other way round!
Your given a flattened out cube with patterns and given 5 pattern 3D cubes to choose from! Be careful though, just cos the cubes are there doesnt mean that one of them has to be right! Yes there is an option to say " none of the above" HTH Darren :) |
None taken Darren, I've never taken the test! Just trying to help.
Hope the clarification helps the applicants though. Cheers. |
Thanks for the replies gents.
Simples. :\ |
here you go! Click on this link and go to number 36 it will tell you exactly what you need to know! :)

If it helps, I have recently taken the 'cube' test, and "failed" miserably! :ok:
|
Noted. Cheers JonathanB.

Hey Leanne, I was also at S2 on the 10th, if thats the Monday your referring to.
|
Are many people going on tower/Swanwick visits? how do you go about it and is it worth it pre-S1?
|
No need to do it for S1, did that yesterday. Just learn the sheet they give you. But it shows you are eager! Only way to show that off though is stage 3 when you actually meet someone that cares!
