One for you Radar ATCOs

http://www.nystocktrader.com/Dodge.htm

I'm curious to see if Radar ATCOs' obvious aptitude benefits them for this - I can only do 25 secs!

Barnaby the Bear 3rd Feb 2004 02:34

34.2 seconds on my 2nd attempt. But i'm only a lowly tower ATCO.:{

42.3 on my third. .........Thats abit too addictive for my liking. I'll stick to Glue.:hmm:

bagpuss lives 3rd Feb 2004 03:07

Arrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm addicted!!! :{

40.1 seconds so far :}

FireFoxDown 3rd Feb 2004 03:17

More addictive than smoking ...

My personal record: 12 secs on my 5th go!! :ok: :ok: :ok:

TrafficTraffic 3rd Feb 2004 03:25

23 .85Secs
YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS - THERE IS NO WAY THAT WAS OUT

The Obvious Choice 3rd Feb 2004 04:46

37.18 on second attempt, but I am pi**ed. More wine and I think I'll be right up there!!!!

72.72, okay this is addictive.

mainecoon 3rd Feb 2004 05:21

but not that good , try netscape and you will be the nuts

bagpuss lives 3rd Feb 2004 05:32

Very true maine :ok:

I'm stopping now at 64.1seconds as my palms are sweaty, my nerves are shot and my blood pressure is rising.

I'd like to thank you Kirstey for posting that....but I can't.

You've runied my evening and my work tomorrow will be anything but expeditious and orderly.

I'm off to lie down in a very dark room, preferably one without tubes installed.

A bit like being on the Tay sector this afternoon with the military exercise on. :\ Consider this little red square an EZE Jetstream and get it south of Newcastle in one piece.

I first tried co-ordination but Neatishead didn't understand where I was talking about ...... so I went for avoiding action ... phew that was exhausting .... so in the end I just did some random moves left and right and closed my eyes ..... a bit like being on the Tay sector this afternoon with the military exercise on......

Now the Band 5 ATCOs will have fun with this ;)

bagpuss lives 3rd Feb 2004 06:03

I expect the Band 5 chaps haven't had time to post their times yet as they'll still be going.......

"1 hour 42 minutes and 32.4 seconds"

mattpilot 3rd Feb 2004 11:40

you guys are kidding right? after about 30 min of playing i just can't get it past 21-22 sec. Its killing me. My finger already hurts from pressing down the mouse button all the time.

Frogbox 3rd Feb 2004 18:10

25.58 secs on 6th attempt and I'm on a laptop with sweaty fingers n' all.

Benefit of being astute enough to maintain my jets clear of Tay traffic.:\

Findo

curious to learn what reference position you spoke of.

Jerricho 3rd Feb 2004 23:41

Another good one is this one----

Another timewaster but fun!

Findo 4th Feb 2004 01:45

Phew !! 1520 and a few sore heads by hitting the roof. :D

Frogbox when we constantly get co-ordination on the wrong sector and traffic positions like " east of south Scotland" no wonder we don't bother to call to hear such jibberish :{ :{

Barnaby the Bear 4th Feb 2004 01:51

447miles on my first attempt with the helicoptor. I got abit concerned about the large amount of smoke so I called a Mayday and then crashed into a green cloud...........where's that glue gone?? :uhoh:

Frogbox 4th Feb 2004 07:16

point well received. During the Mil Exercise the controller will usually be under a RIS and may not have the brain-space to deal with pressured requests for co-ord whilst dealing with the demands of many FJs. However, the controller should have the savvy to recognise the most ancient of reporting points and therefore pinpoint your traffic.
It is appreciated that you may have RAS traffic and every effort will be made to contact you early, inform you of the exercise, and an attempt made to influence the course of your traffic (in the interests of all airspace users).
Those of us who have had a symbiotic (big word for the day) relationship with yourselves for many years do pull out the stops to aim to make your life easier.
Indeed us old boys try to impart our knowledge amongst the youngsters, so I blame the internet generation.
If you feel you need to discuss this further my PM is always open.

Rgds :ouch:

Hippy 4th Feb 2004 09:33

Errr, yeah...symbiotic relationships and ancient reporting points aside, wasn't this a thread about naff Flash games? Thought so. You want helicopters? Then try this for size.
