Another daft Concorde at EGLL question...
The Met Office 5-day forecast promises 10mph northerley winds for Friday...(no need for the anorak after all!!)
What will be the preferred direction if that materialises...and are all deps and arrivals definitely going to be on the north runway? |
Hee-hee. Lets see if the Met office got it right.
As 27 is our preferential runway, it will depend just what the easterly or westerly componet of the northerly wind is! Clear as mud, hey! |
Aaaah, bless!!! Dont forget your notebook, and a parka in case its a bit chilly!!!!:D
|
BAW2 landed on the southerly runway today!
|
And BAW9021 landed on the North runway at exactly the same time :O
|
Well that must have been purely coincidental!
|
A loss of seperation?!?! Oh Dear! Did'nt think parallel approaches were allowed to get that close? Bet the pax had a nice view.:uhoh:
|
It was completely legal, and watch this space for a link to photos of the radar when I get round to uploading them - the crews loved it!
|
Will the same happen thursday? If so, what time?
Cheers... |
Will the same happen thursday? If so, what time? It wasn't specially arranged - just a normal Heathrow Approach procedure when 2 Concs happened to arrive at the same time :D Hope we didn't steal the thunder from Friday's arrangements!:p If so, what time? If anyone has photos of the 2 Concs, please email me them and I'll put them on the site. |
You crazy X-watch guys........................
Excellent pics Mr. I. |
Couldnt have been listening at a better time --------it must have been super to watch ---on your radar and at LHR!! It was MAGIC,shame I could only hear the crews and not you guys as well but have read the missing bits on Concordes little site!
Im so pleased reception was good and heard both Concordes nearly to the landing! |
