American in Bordeaux Control

Last year crossing France, I noticed one of the Bordeaux controllers was obviously an American. My co-pilot didn't believe it until I asked. Born in Omaha. Love to hear the story of the American in Bordeaux, if he's at PPRUNE. Moving to Bordeaux must be all the better if you come from Nebraska.
