Question ATC queries?

As a non-ATCO I hope you can help me with a couple of queries I have, and sorry if they're simple to you but, they confuse the hell out of me!!
1. What is a "radar heading" as opposed to a normal heading?
2. What is a "fix leave" as referred to in holding patterns I believe!
TIA.

A radar heading is a heading which a pilot flies on the instructions of a radar controller and he mustn't change it without reference to that controller.

"Fix leave" I've never heard of in exactly that expression. Maybe you mean an instruction to leave the hold??
