Question SMF Implications

Following 2 recent incidents at Nerc when the SMF failed to register the RED SQUARES despite there being considerably less than the prescribed LATERAL & VERTICAL separation, does anyone know if the functioning of this device is a Mandatory item required by SRG etc etc ?

Probably not, oh One-Who-Is-Well-Plastered-In-All-Spotting-Places...........

SRG, as usual, belly up and loving NATS management doing the tickling.

I wonder when ECT will be re-instated ?
