Airspace Closure on BRS BCN & STU

Tonight I understand Bristol , Brecon and Strumble sectors are closed because of staffing difficulties.

This has meant the effective closure of Bristol ,Cardiff and Exeter airfields through the night.
Just how bad does the staffing situation have to get before we start seeing something positive being done to alleviate these problems.

You can be certain that we are going to be slated in the press yet again over this.

As stated so many times before, ATC bosses are happy to close sectors at Swanwick during the night if it enables a better flow rate during the day, and screw anyone who gets affected. Just hope that the overtime gets things sorted soon, or this will just happen more and more.

Cool

To answer your question of how long.... It only takes about 3 to 4 years to train an enroute controller normally...

Well I for one am fed up of getting shafted on nights, so with winter fast approaching if I get even the slightest sniffle you'll be seeing a few more airspace closures!
