9/11 airspace closure question
All airspace in Canada was closed last September 11 right up to the North Pole(I believe that exceptions were made for some special cases such as aircraft returning from bush camps etc.). Does anyone know if Mexican airspace was also closed on that day?

9/11 airspace closure
regarding your question on the airspace closure last September in Canada
I was on duty that day and as far as I am aware the Muchachos were still flying. The airspace closure was arranged under an old NATO procedure (ccooked up during the cold war) called SCATANA and as far as I am aware only the USA and CAnada were signatories to this as the only place the Ruskies were likely to come from were from the North (over the pole - the yanks always felt the Canucks were expendable) not from south of the border.
Hoope that explains that for you.
