how to determine the interval between successive arrival aircraft

as an approach controller , how to decide the approach time of the succeeding aircraft. What are the influencing factors? how much is the target landing time interval ?

Depends on single or multiple runway, full length taxiways (need to backtrack departures if not), wake turbulance spacing; so many factors it should all be detailed in your local instructions.

Are there specified landing intervals that must be met between the various classes of aircraft, and then the time to start the final approach is calculated backwards based on the time required for the aircraft to fly from the final approach point to the runway threshold ?
