Separator,

Thanks! Can you tell me how hard it is to go from line controller to FPC? And what penalty rates can you expect on average to add to your salary?

Regards,
Stomper

Stomper. You have to get all the ratings in your 'group' to progress to FPC. It isn't that tricky and most newbies get it accomplished in about 3 years.

The salaries above are inclusive of penalty rates except:
- Overtime. This depends on location/group and could vary from one shift every two months to one shift every two weeks.
- Public holidays. About 8 shifts a year approx double pay.
- OJTI. 8% added on an hourly basis when performing OJTI duties.

Unless you do serious overtime it would be difficult to get much more than around 10% over the normal salary over a year.

You'd be crazy to think about coming to work as ATC in oz just for the money.

Stomper,

You seem very interested in everyone's salary. Just looking at your previous posts you now have Canada's, Australia's, Doha's,
and probably Abu Dhabi, Muscats or Dubai ( can't remember where Duck is) and Skyguide's salary. Would you care to enlighten all of us how they compare eg. $$$ and conditions.
I am not sure but I gather you might be an ATCO from NZ, but you may wish to share this info as well.

Posted this on Dunnunda. Thought it might be pertinent here as well.

ATCO in OZ.

Interested yes! Just like evryone else.

Don't ask questions you won't get answers.

Eurocontrol are good and skyguide are pretty good. I think the Italians or Spaniards are best off though.
