European ATC

Hello everyone,

I know you must have heard those questions before, so apologies if this was answered. I didn't find much info from EU ATCOs.
Are there any controllers or trainees here? Can you tell me more about your experience? Especially those of you who have been working as ATCOs for some time.
I guess I'm looking at some personal experiences, pros and cons, tips and tricks etc. Also if you could tell me how are the shifts?

How many weekends per month do you work on average?

I really love the idea of becoming ATC, but I guess I'm little worried about how is life outside the work and if shifts really mess you up badly etc. and if you can take holidays and have some free time like 'normal' people haha.

Lot of ppl also scare others with stories of ATCOs suffering from health issues and so on. I figured it's better to ask people who have first hand experience instead of those who only repeat what they've read on the internet. Any 'internal' info on EU ATC and your experiences are very welcomed.

Thank you
