747 at Edinburgh

Ok maybe not directly related to ATC but maybe someone working at Edinburgh can shed some light.....
Yesterday afternoon I spotted what looked like a B747 departing on a Grice 4D SID. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isnt it a bit odd for 747's to be operating in/out of Edinburgh??

That would have been European Airlines 747 operating from Edinburgh to Sanford, a weekly event at the moment and a darn nice way to cross the atlantic, dunno if edi can cope much longer with this tearing up the tarmac every time it comes in tho!!!!! ( tongue firmly in cheek for you ath and cally!!!!!)

p.s. They are also operating weekly from Glasgow.
