I wonder whether MAG have a long-term plan to do EGNXZA from somewhere else? They're a fairly cost-concious outfit, after all.
Their 2 busiest units have contracts with NATS, but the 2 smaller ones are done 'in-house'. Allegedly, MAG are interested in recent events at EGBB, EGKK and EGPH, and, talking to one of their ops-managers last year indicated that they are also very interested in the potential of r-TWR technology.
I wouldn't be surprised to see all the ATC operations eventually transferred to a 'bunker' in Manchester Town Hall.

Flew out of there for 15 years and I've been in ATC for 27 years. Always got a professional and thorough service, even being put into the ILS pattern when a BMA DC9 or 737 was steaming in. Can't praise them high enough. 👍🏻

GASA,
I think that to get all 4 approach units, plus 4 sets of wrap-around, high-definition VCR screens in, would require quite a sizeable extension to the building at the base of the new EGCC tower.
The Town Hall is a much better option, as it will have a canteen, and probably many other facilities enjoyed by its present employees. PLUS, the ATCOs based there will be able to travel to work on the tram, in keeping with both Manchester Council and MAG's 'sustainable transport' agendas.
