How to (re)start as an ATC in another nation?

Hi all,

I have worked as an ATC in the ACC AZ (Amazonico Centre) in Brazil from November 2009 to August 2012. As you might know, the working conditions there aren't really that great. Back then we were having 22 shifts a month, being 9/10 of them a night shift, having roughly 2/3 days off a month. There were times when we'd have morning and night shifts on the same day. In addition to that, to be an ATC in Brazil you have to be in the Air Force, so you'd also have military obligations, some of them on your days off. Salary is around 1000 USD/month and you only get medical benefits out of that. No housing or transport allowances, living in a city in the middle of the Amazon, where the cost of living is rather pricey. So it's no surprise that after 3 years I left the job, even though I really loved the rush of it.

I currently work as a cabin crew in the Middle East, where I earn at least 4 times more, plus all the benefits. It's been almost 3 years in this job, but, as you all know, we can never get over the rush. And we can always do better. I need to go back to doing a job where I feel like I'm using my brain, if you know what I mean.

I've been trying hard to find a way to start over in the ATC field. As it's been almost 4 years since I resigned, and having such little experience, I've been considering doing it all again from zero. I still hold my license and ICAO Level 5 of English language Proficiency valid until this current year.

Do any of you know of any training school in any country that would take a foreign student? Is there any direction you could point out? Any other ATC who's been through that or could give me any useful tip on how to (re)start in another country?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Best Regards!
