Wrong callsign readback by FIS
Hello to all air traffic guys. Operating a G-registered aircraft in and around OK-land, I routinely hear my callsign being misread back by FIS on my first call:
It would be interesting to hear your opinions. As far as I feel, this problem most often occurs when talking to less experienced FISOs who are not very proficient in English (accordingly, this problem never or almost never happens with ATC, where good English is a must). Surprisingly, simply speaking slowly helps only partially - my callsign is still occasionally garbled. Which of the following actions would you consider appropriate in this case, and what else would you suggest?
1. Deviate from the officially prescribed and/or commonly accepted practices by adding a greeting in Czech before my callsign, which would imply that I speak Czech, too, and thus take some stress off the young FISO:
2. Pronounce the call sign so as to make it easier for FIS to abbreviate it properly:
>>> Praha Information, Golf November Oscar Delta Echo.
<<< Er... Golf Delta November Foxtrot Echo? Go ahead.
>>> Golf. November. Oscar. Delta. Echo. [continuing my report in Czech]
<<< Er... Golf Delta November Foxtrot Echo? Go ahead.
>>> Golf. November. Oscar. Delta. Echo. [continuing my report in Czech]
