American ATC, any chance to get hired abroad?

I currently work at Houston ARTCC, but have 3 tower ratings as well. Was curious about the chances/process of getting picked up to control abroad somewhere. Not contracting out in the desert but in Europe, Australia , Canada etc. I'm not sure how the NAS vs ICAO works. Any info would be appreciated.

Zero chance if you don't have the right to work in the EU.

Canada...there is no longer a program for experienced controllers. You have to basically move here, gain residency and then apply to Nav Canada.

I've heard an ex-American from OMA controlling traffic in Bordeaux Control and one on the radio enroute to Las Palms, so they are out there. Most likely married a local to gain residency.

[QUOTE]Most likely married a local to gain residency.[QUOTE]

Residency IS gained through marriage. However when I moved the other way my experience was useless as CITIZENSHIP is required of the US to work in ATC . I wasn't even allowed to vist NASA in Cleveland until I got my green card
