Talking Tax Relief For All Prospect Members!

If you knew this already - sorry.

Have just found out from my Inland Revenue acknowlegement from my completed and authorised tax return that we Prospect members can claim an extra £64 on our tax allowance from this year!

You just have to claim tax relief for trade union payments 'that include a death benefit' on the form...Prospect pays out £700 or so as a death benefit, so it counts.

Should give you an extra £24 rebate by cheque or bank credit...mine's just come through, so it's true!

And if £24 isn't a lot to you...then you earn too much.

Cool

Cheers for that FPF! Anything not going to the taxman is worth a punt in my opinion.

Now then, what's the odds on Senegal winning thw world cup?!

Flight Plan Fixer

How does this work then?

What percentage of your subs are you claiming against?

Whilst Prospect may pay out £700 Death benefit the amount of your subs which paid for that insurance was some 58pence (in total) for the year 01-02.

Prospect seem unable to help.

Hope that you can forgive my ignorance and either e-mail me with more indepth details, or post them here!

Thanks in advance.

your kung fu logic is strong, SS...now try mine!

Hmmm...

...but can you just pay 58p and get the death benefit option?
Exactly!

Try it, don't try it, it's all invenerial to me.
Haven't had a suit knocking on my door yet asking for their ball (or £24.50 ) back, 'tho.
