Belgian (lower) Airspace closed .

It seems the total strike of Belgian ATC will take place today from 16:00 UTC. NOTAM is out , whole airspace and all Belgian airports closed .
This in addition to the (partial) ATC strike in France !

Forgive me, I'm not a pilot (or anything else relevant) but on FR24 there seems to be a lot of activity still over Belgium.

EBBU FIR is controlled by Belgocontrol
EBBU UIR is controlled by Eurocontrol Maastricht

The strike is only in the FIR (below FL245), the UIR has been strike-free as of 1972.

There will be plenty of crossing traffic out of the London TMA, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, just nothing in and out of Brussels/Charlerloi.

I thought take offs and landings at BRU transited through lower Belgian air space.

The action started at 1845 for two hours Up til then it was business as usual. Around 120 flights were affected
