Route Charges

Morning Pruners,
I was just curious about how NATS charge operators for using the airways system. Does it depend on the operation, weight, type of flight??

And...how much does your average joe - AC11 or TB20 pay Vs Biz jets and the airliners?

If anyone knows it would be interesting find out, however if you don't, please don't break your back trying to find out for me. It is of no urgency.

merry xmas.

Details can be found here: Establishing route charges | Eurocontrol

A/C with an MTOW of <2t do not pay route charges, nor do State Flights or SAR. The formula for working out the cost is shown at the link. It involves the A/C weight, and the distance flight planned within the unit's airspace, regardless of how many miles were/were not flown (e.g. due direct routings).
