Not if they pursue the bonkers idea to go to electronic strips in Terminal Control at Swanwick. Twice the number of controllers required, impossible for one Atco to do the r/t and go tappity tap into the iron brain.
I think it's safe to say NATS wants to reduce the number of controllers it employs.

Hello.

I am a researcher assisting Dr David Clarke of Sheffield Hallam University.

We are investigating the alleged sighting of an unusual, diamond-shaped aircraft and an unidentified Harrier jet near Calvine, Scotland, in August 1990.

If you are unfamiliar with this incident, more information is available here: https://drdavidclarke.co.uk/secret-f...o-photographs/

We understand from a former RAF Scotland source that checks were carried out in 1990 to identify the Harrier with ScATCC (Mil) Prestwick radar which covered the Calvine area.

If anyone who served at ScATCC in 1990 can hence help us shed any light on this matter, we would be very grateful to hear from you.

Thank you.

This subject has already been adequately dealt with in the 'Military' forum under the name 'Does Blackbird successor ....... actually exist' with the most recent posting on 23 Apr 2022.
