I don't know how much such things cost in your country but all you would get in the UK for that price would be something pretty basic. Look more towards 1000 eur and then you might be on to something. If you buy cheap they will only last a short while. I would look for a minimum of 12x50 which should be good for daylight as well as night time use.

Bought a pair of Nikon 8x50s for £70 last year.
Try the well known auction site, there are still bargains to be had.

Tower binoculars

Hello again,

Unfortunately the budget is not decided by staff...
Old pair was an Olympus 10x50 but are 12 years old.
Since they will be hand held maybe an 8x will be better than a 10x or 12x.

Found these on internet:
Bresser Condor 8x42
Nikon Sporter EX 8x42

Thank you

But you need magnification if the airfield is big. You should have no trouble holding 12x. My personal binoculars are 15x60 and I have no trouble.

Tower Binoculars

Moving the topic slightly and showing my age, I think we got most of ours, second hand, from Admiral Doenitz!

I use these for celestial viewing, for the price, they're absolutely fantastic, some of the sharpest and best optics I've ever used, they punch well above their weight.
