Passing on ATC training
Interested in starting the process for ATC but am not prepared to start training immediately. Do I start the process now - am I able to "pass" on a training opportunity and start later (assuming I am privileged and lucky enough to be offered one early on). Or am I better off waiting until I can jump on an opportunity should it arise? - which for me may mean delaying the application process by a year.

I don't know what the situation is in your country, but here in Australia it took 11 months from when I first applied, to when I started training. There have been plenty of people here that have been offered employment and have asked for a later course.
Put it this way, you've passed the selection process, they give you a start date, you say 'can I delay?'
Their way of thinking is, if you're not ready to start when they offer it to you, then you're not really sufficiently interested in the job, so why should they bother with you?
