They worked at a huge control centre in Swanwick, near Poole in Dorset, where all UK National Air Traffic control is based.
I must be doing something else then.
Maybe I should go and stand on the runway with some ping pong bats

When I was at primary school all the class had to stand up one at a time and say what their parents did for a living when it was my turn I stood up next to the teacher and said "my daddy is an airline pilot" (which he was, BOAC VC10) to which the teacher replied "don't be so ridiculous" and slapped my leg for lying.
