Oldest ATCO in Scotland
Some recent mild ribbing from colleagues on Facebook has prompted me to ask -
Are there any ATCO's in Scotland born before 12 April 1948 still controlling, & if so, where ?

I think I know him, Mad Jock. He writes flight details on a slate and sends morse code when communicating with pilots. He uses the radar to microwave his soup, can't take solids without his teeth in I think

Well there might be a couple older who no longer work in scotland but home is there and work as a contractor in other places.
I know of a couple of the old procedural tower guys travel about doing training and the like in warm bits of the world. And I think there an older sounding scottish bloke on Bahrain.

One wonders if the ATCO being referred to is the one that is "addicted" to Kendal Mint Cake?
p.s. send money when you want another clandestine shipment or an aircraft to a certain North Lakes airfield (not Carlisle)

I think following a reference to the oldest swinger in town with the word 'capable' , without qualifying it, could be open to misinterpretation, this being Pprune ! ;-)

@ Lon
Same name , different guy - this one ex EGLL, Manch & ScATCC - oh & when I said 'handed in his hat', I meant he retired not shuffled off to the big centre in the sky !
@nats
IIRC that was a qualification for the Ocean in the 70's wasn't it ?
