SID Departure question

Looking at the Departure SID from Houston Hobby (INDUSTRY), I am curious about the wording and it's revelance in the 'Departure Route Description'. There are three transition routes that are labeled in parenthesis (ATC assigned only). What is the purpose of this? The vast majority of SID's seem not to have this ; (ATC Assigned Only). ---T/Y

I believe they don't want you to file those transitions. If ATC wants to use them they will assign them, but don't file them.

Guess simplicity can be confusing. SID's contain all kinds of instructions, and to see it printed out, and not being able to use it, leads one to wonder why they even have it printed out. Guess it's as simple as "Hey , we got this transition, but don't be asking for it, we will assign it when we deem it necessary". Therefore, when ATC does indeed deem it necessary, we(the pilot) will have all the info available. ---T/Y
