Interview at NATS for the position of systems engineer
HI,
I recently had attended an assessment day at NATS for the position of systems engineer-graduate.
The day consisted of a company presentation, group exercises and a technical test. the group exercise was a 5 minute presentation and an hour of group discussion. The presentation was a breeze, I was confident, spoke passionately and answered their questions well (I had to talk about a general topic they gave me). The group discussion was a team building exercise to solve a problem. I think i might have started off as agreeing on things rather than talking, but 5 min later i started talking along, planning, listening, suggesting etc etc. That was also good, although it depends on how they measure on what scale. The technical test wasn't very promising. we had to do a lot of subjective question in 25 min and everyone ended up not attempting atleast 4 to 5 questions. I had left 2, although the rest of my answers were fairly ok. so, basically technical test is the point where I am not sure at all.
They told us that they will let us know if any of us are selected for the final interview by the end of this month. I am unsure about my chances of being selected. anyone has any idea? please?

Hi mean,
Congrats on the invite to assessment day. The technical test on my day didn't involve programming, although i don't really know if the questions keep changing in these tests. They were just general questions that don't require much prep. They are no clear cut Q+A types. I suggest you go through the website about what they do and their overview and basics to help you with it. I had hard time with the questions because i hate writing and the time was kind of not enough to think and write.
The people at NATS will make you instantly comfortable, so you don't have to worry about nervousness and all that stuff. Be confident, interact well. Try and get to know your fellow applicants 'coz it really helps you guys to click in group exercises
Anyways, best of luck. Do your homework, attend the assessment and hopefully, share your experience with me .
Cheers
