Max time in front of the scope

What is the maximum non-stop time allowed to spend in front of the scope in your units? 2 hours? 3 hours? Is anywhere 5 hours allowed?

Let me do a search of this forum for you. First thread on this subject is from 2001 http://www.pprune.org/atc-issues/158...gulations.html

Thank you, but it was ten years ago anyway
Are there any European-level regulations on the working hours, especially regarding the time on front of the screen?

Sigh! If you do a search you'll find the answers you want, I tried to help you by showing you the earliest thread on the subject. There are many other (newer) threads.

The simple answer is 2 hours anyway (UK)

The reference document

(part D section 2 page 2)

Hope that helps

Thank you!
The reason I'm asking is because our ANSP is planning to make us work for as long as 5 hours in a row, which sounds way too much for me, regardless radar or tower. I was curious if there was a similar case anywhere in Europe.

Not direct answers to your question, but best to be aware of what is going on about the subject.
