Nav Canada, ATC recruitment

Wondering if anyone has gone through the Nav Canada ATC recruitment process and have made it through to become an air traffic controller for them.

If so, do you have any tips on the entire process and would it be possible to cover stages that you went through? I personally have tried the application online but I did not make it through the initial online tests. ie. 30 questions in 8 mins (but I am not sure how they determine if you qualify or not)

Thanks in advance

You'll find more information about this on the Av Canada message board, specifically under the ATS section:

AVCANADA • View forum - ATS Question Forum

There are plenty of topics there about Nav Canada recruitment and several Nav Canada employees that post there. One thing to consider though, you will most likely need Landed Immigrant Status or Canadian citizenship to be considered for employment at Nav Canada.

You will also find that the "experienced controller program" that was in place to hire foreign controllers is on a temporary hold (which seems to have been the case for the last 4 years.

As the previou poster alluded....they are mostly hiring local at present. However I second that AVCANADA :::WELCOME::: is the best forum to find out in detail.
